Plugnotes digitizes SMEs in “plug and play” mode - Interview with La Libre
When we introduce the solution. Sometimes the feedback we get is why it looks a little too good to be true. Whereas today, no-code solutions like Plugnotes, it should become the norm. Plugnotes is a plug and play SaaS solution that allows SMEs to digitize their operational day-to-day without going through IT development. So their goal is to optimize interactions internally within their teams or even externally with third parties.
The difference with a traditional ERP solution is that anyone within the company can take ownership of the project and digitize interactions by configuring self-service digital forms. They can then be shared through a mobile application or our web application. The teams collect information from the field and use it effectively internally. I was guided by my dad, who had already initiated the reflection of this project. He comes directly from the logistics sector and he had felt this need to be able to remain independent and to keep a certain flexibility in relation to the IT teams.
And so, he wanted to be able to digitize some of these daily challenges by himself. And that's how he developed a prototype of the Plugnotes application. I was a digital strategy consultant and suddenly I became interested in the things that had been implemented within his company and we decided to adapt the solution to study the market to start offering it to others. 'other SMEs in the same sectors, in logistics, retail and production in particular.
Plugnotes is not positioned as a competitor of ERP, but rather as a complement. The idea is that once an ERP module is implemented, we have made the investments. But that does not prevent operational daily life from continuing to evolve. New needs appear. Some modules may not have been implemented for reasons of budget, time. With a solution like Plugnotes, you can easily complete the failure of an ERP. And so, it's all these little things that are not covered and which are still part of everyday life that we will be able to solve with Plugnotes.
And besides that, we also work with companies that do not have an ERP, who have just decided to continue working with spreadsheets or a multitude of combinations of applications. And there, obviously, plus the simpler alternative to digitize this without going through the implementation of an ERP. It means that the solution is within everyone's reach. In ERP, this is typically the kind of solution that is configured by technicians, or even developers. There or Plugnotes could be configured by the CEO, by the logistician or by the intern who spends 3 weeks in the company.
